William B. Barber II

William B. Barber II is a licensed Landscape Architect and Licensed Swimming Pool Contractor with more than two decades of experience designing luxury outdoor environments, commercial aquatic facilities, and high-end residential projects.

William began his education studying architecture at St. Petersburg College before transferring to the University of Florida, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture in 2004.

Early in his career he worked for LandDesign, specializing in land planning, master planning, and presentation renderings for residential and commercial developments. During the housing market downturn he transitioned into residential outdoor living design where he discovered his passion for custom swimming pools.

He later earned his Florida Swimming Pool Contractor’s License and combined his landscape architecture expertise with real-world construction experience.

Throughout his career he has participated in projects for internationally recognized hospitality brands including Marriott, Ritz-Carlton, and Four Seasons.

His experience includes luxury resort pools, elevated rooftop pools, lazy rivers, waterslides, splash pads, interactive water features, hydraulic design, structural coordination, construction documentation, engineering coordination, and project management.

Today William combines landscape architecture, engineering, and construction expertise to teach homeowners how to confidently build their own swimming pools while avoiding expensive mistakes and saving tens of thousands of dollars.
